We are a company specialised in granite processing and the trading of ornamental stones.

Currently, Granitos Lamecense, Lda. operates a factory with the highest technology in stone processing and shaping machinery, from the smallest tile to the complexity of a monumental project, including recently introduced market materials such as Silestone and Compac, among others.


The investment in a young team and cutting-edge technology has allowed Granitos Lamecense, Lda. to design and produce exclusive pieces - different from the traditional segment.

We have modern granite and marble cutting and processing equipment.

With specialised staff and a constant focus on improving techniques and methods to achieve higher product quality, we transform blocks of Granite, Limestone and Marble into a wide variety of finishes - polished, shot-blasted, flamed, brushed, etc. - through to the complete execution of Natural Stone projects for Buildings and Public Works, ready for installation.

History

Granitos Lamecense, Lda. was founded in April 1999 and began operations in June 2000, with Belarmino Fonseca as the company's main driving force — someone who worked in the stone industry from a very young age.


Having emigrated to Switzerland, he worked in quarrying and granite processing, gaining experience and building contacts.
From the outset, a stone sawing line, an overhead crane, a transport vehicle and the premises — still in use today — were acquired. At that stage, the company produced processed granite slabs for domestic and international markets.
With the growth of construction activity in international markets, the company expanded its machinery fleet and workforce to meet demand.


Since then, the company has remained active in the market, supplying numerous domestic and international clients who award various public works contracts for urban rehabilitation across all 5 continents.
